What to Bring to Your Road Test

If you are age 25 or older:

Your Texas Driver's License with a "B" Restriction
Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD) Certificate

If you are age 18-24:

Your Texas Driver's License with a "B" Restriction
6-Hour Adult Course Completion Certificate
Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD) Certificate

If you are under age 18:

Your Texas Learner's License (permit)
Parent/Guardian with a Valid Driver's License
32-Hour Teen Course Completion Certificate
Verification of Enrollment (get from your high school)
Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) Certificate
Completed 30 Hour Behind-the-Wheel Log

After Passing the Test

You will be given a sealed envelope to take to Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to obtain your driver's license. Don't open the envelope. The DPS will not accept an open envelope.

You must be under 18 to register for this package. All documents must be provided on the day of your appointment. Refer to the list on this page for what to bring to your road test.

The road test is non-refundable. No-shows will be charged for a second attempt.
